Header Panel Overview

The Header Panel A display area that shows information about the information element selected. This might include a description, file type, author, categories etc. is an optional panel displayed at the top of the Content Pane.  It displays data about the item selected in the Nav pane.  This information is displayed when you single click on an item in the Nav pane The Navigation pane (Nav pane) is the primary mechanism for selecting the mode and items displayed in KnowledgeWorkshop. and can be viewed before you display the item A file, web page, note, task, discussion post or other individual source of information. by double clicking on it.  It can therefore aid you in choosing the information you want to display before spending the time downloading it from the Internet or loading it from the file system.  The information displayed in the header panel is usually not displayed as part of the item itself.  It may include:

 

 

The information shown in the header is extracted from data provided by the original author where possible.  For example, a web page may have an invisible description tag built into it that KnowledgeWorkshop can extract and display.   The information displayed in the header can be viewed and edited within the properties of the item.
